This Privacy Policy describes how an individual proprietor residing in the State of New York (“Owner”) collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with the website at macalinao.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated as a personal portfolio and Persona-network property and does not knowingly target minors or process special-category data.

1. Information we receive automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure receives standard technical information that web servers receive from any visitor, including:

• Your IP address and approximate location derived from it.
• Your browser type, operating system, and language preference.
• The pages you request and the time of each request.
• The referring URL, if any, that brought you to the Site.

This information is processed by Cloudflare, Inc. (CDN, DDoS protection, and DNS) and by the Owner’s server software, and is recorded in short-retention access logs for security and operational purposes.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site does not set first-party tracking cookies and does not embed third-party advertising or behavioral-targeting trackers. Cloudflare may set strictly-necessary cookies for security and bot mitigation; those cookies do not profile you for advertising.

3. Information you provide

If you write to an inform@ contact address, your email content, address, and any attachments will be received and stored on the Owner’s self-hosted mail infrastructure for the purpose of responding to you. No marketing email lists are maintained on the Site.

4. How we use information

• To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
• To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse and security incidents.
• To respond to inquiries you send to a contact address.
• To comply with legal obligations and lawful requests.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with:

• Service providers acting on our behalf, including Cloudflare (CDN/DNS/security) and our self-hosted mail provider.
• Authorities when required by valid legal process, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Owner or others.

6. Retention

Access logs are retained for a short operational window (typically days to weeks). Email correspondence sent to inform@ addresses is retained for the period reasonably necessary to support the inquiry and comply with applicable record-keeping obligations.

7. Your choices

• Browser controls. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent.
• Do Not Track. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals because the Site does not perform cross-site tracking.
• Contact-data deletion. If you have written to an inform@ address and want your correspondence deleted, write to inform@macalinao.com; we will honor reasonable requests subject to law.

8. State privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws — for example, the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of certain processing.
